Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (spoilers)
#1
First Deathly Hallows preview

Looking good, the trailer looks pretty much like I imagined the book to be like. That's the main flaw with the previous three movies, they couldn't fit the story into 2 hours.

Looks really cool

Though you have to admit, I wasn't expecting the first trailer this early.
In this world, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant.

I heard somewhere that Dumbledore's funeral will be included in The Deathly Hallows. They better, I was disappointed that it wasn't included in Half-Blood Prince.

I'm pretty excited for it. Not a lot there, but Harry Potter always has good trailers.

I believe it's the one from the Half-Blood Prince DVD, which comes out today.

T'Pol: I am not old, I will only be 66 years old on my next birthday.
Trip: I can't believe you told me that.
T'Pol: You accused me of being old.

Fry: "What was the purpose of life, anyway?"
Farnsworth: "Who knows? Probably some hogwash about the human spirit."

I'm sure the duel will be visually interesting, though I'll be interested to see how its depicted, since it would be hard to make it fit with what's been established for the Elder Wand (that it won't actually harm Harry). Maybe he has to struggle for mastery or something?

I thought it looked awesome. I was very impressed with how they have brought some of the book's big scenes to life. Visually stunning in terms of scope and detail. Cool

I finally got to see the film yesterday. Overall it was extremely good, if necessarily incomplete. This is easily the most faithful adaptation of a novel since the first two in terms of contents, and unlike the first two I don't think it at times gets bogged down in faithfulness.

The action was pretty good, if not graphic (George getting his ear cursed off, Ron's splinching, Bellatrix torturing Hermione).

He's not in it much but I must give props to Jason Issacs as Lucius. He plays the role like a man scared out of his mind and about to have a nervous breakdown. Loved it.

Loved the animated segment.

I liked it. Considering that it is basically a two and a half hour set-up for part 2, I was still surprised when it ended. As someone who was board by all the traveling around in the book I found it worked better on screen (I think that I could see their frustration better on screen than I did reading it).

It's a long wait until July! Thumbsup

I liked the movie quite a bit. Yates did an excellent job of establishing the bleak outlook of the world, without making the whole film seem like a chore to sit through. The interactions of Harry, Hermione and Ron are a highlight, they've really grown into their roles.

I thought the musical score, while not especially memorable, fit the film exceptionally well.

The movie was pretty good. Some flaws in it but in general it is really dark but good. I can't wait for the final part to come out.

The movie was good and awesome. I've watched all of the Harry Potter movies.

Too bad they're now over. Sad
