Most iconic Star Wars moments
#1
Hey, why not. What moments are the most iconic, most memorable in Star Wars movies or books?

One scene is the destruction of the Death Star. Also the duel between Anakin and Obi-wan is also a memorable scene.

"Luke, I am your father" -I doubt anything tops that moment.
I am dead but I must still go to work. -The Sixth Sense

In addition to the moments already mentioned, I think Vader overthrowing Palpatine could be considered an iconic moment.

From the books, the death of Chewbacca and Han Solo's reaction certainly count.

I don't think anything can top the "No, I am your father" as being iconic. Except for maybe Darth Vader himself.
Fry: "What was the purpose of life, anyway?"
Farnsworth: "Who knows? Probably some hogwash about the human spirit."

I would think the lightsaber and the Force could be counted as iconic.
"Will somebody please get this big, walking carpet out of my way?"

I can't think of any moment in a Star Wars movie that tops the "No, I am your father" as being iconic.

I gotta agree, the "Luke, I am your father" is probably the most iconic scene.

^This. Maybe the Death Star might count as well.
