Forgot Windows 7 sign-in password
#1
I have two computers at hand: one is a branded new Dell XPS  with Windows 10 and an old HP Envy 13. I have some important files on the old computer but just forgot the login password of the old computer coz I didn't sing in for a while. A reinstallation is not what I expected. Is there any way to get into the computer without losing any data? much appreciated.

did you have pre-created reset disk in hand? If yo have, then you can easily insert it to your locked computer and reset password, if you didn't have one. You may need to create a reset disk with USB or dvd. you can reply on iSeePassword windows password recovery or Ophcrack.

PS: You need to prepare USB flash with no less then 2GB.

HP Envy comes with UEFI firmware, and you might need to use a UEFI bootable password tools:

I hope this will work now.
