Why does Frank Miller always portray Superman negatively?
#1
Superman represents truth, justice, and the American way. Yet Frank Miller shows him as a pawn of a power-hungry and borderline imperialistic United States in The Dark Knight Returns (one of my favorite comic). So why does Frank Miller write him like that? In other comics by Miller Superman is even worse! So what's Frank Miller's beef with the Man of Steel? I don't have anything personal against Frank Miller, and he's done some really amazing work, but why does he keep showing Superman in a bad light?

From what I see, Frank Miller is a very cynical man. And cynical people just don't get Superman.
It's always a good night for a walk.
