Anyone been watched the Senate today? Bernie Sanders of Vermont pulled an old school, stand up filibuster in the Senate for 8.5 hours over the compromise to prevent the raising of the tax rates at the end of the year.
Saw several clips last night and this morning. Senator Sanders have something that neither American parties have: Big balls.

Bernie seems to know what he's talking about. It's very refreshing for a change. He belongs to neither party so can do whatever he wants.

I like Bernie, I'm glad I'm not alone too.
He knows this goes beyond the tax cut issue. The whole system is corrupt and he's pointing it all out. If he changes even one mind then it's worth it.
I was happy when he said "I am a proud Progressive". I'm glad to see someone in Congress not scurry away from that name.
You mean to tell me that there are American politicians out there that actually stand for what they believe in? It's amazing.
8.5 hours is amazing, especially for someone his age. Just when you start to get cynical about the whole process, someone comes along and makes you believe again that there are some politicians out there that actually mean what they say.

i don't know much about this guy, but i have to say it was impressive when i first saw it happen. i will be paying more attention to him from now on...
