I wonder if these same people would say the same thing about Obama haters?
I've seen a few of those too. Pretty stupid really, considering all the un-Christian things Bush did (I thought Jesus told you to love your enemy, not torture and kill them based on lies).

He must've been taking lessons from Jesus's genocidal bi-polar "father".

I take it you don't like Christianity all that much...?

Indeed I don't. I think Christianity itself is a genocidal cult that has destroyed whole civilizations, held back scientific progress because some old book written by people in caves said otherwise and to this day continues to worship a bipolar god that punishes the entire Human race because he failed to have the foresight that free will could be used against him.
For the record, I don't have a problem with the vast majority of Christians who are otherwise nice nor do I have a problem with Christ's teachings (they are at least sane).

Also don't forget the pick and choose what parts of the Bible they want to follow (like over homosexuality) but completely ignore the stuff they don't agree with.

Those are pretty broad generalizations but there is more to it than that.

I know, but many Christians love generalizations (like against Islam for instance).

There's one generalization I don't like about Christianity, and that's the "must accept Jesus or you'll burn in hell forever". My father died years ago, am I to believe that's he's in hell now because he really didn't care to accept Jesus but otherwise was a good person in life? If so, that's not a god I want to worship.
^Likewise what if you do accept Jesus but commit horrible crimes in his name? Like Hitler for instance, did he get into heaven?
Christian beliefs don't make sense when you think about it...

I can't speak about Christian beliefs, but in Islam God judges you based on what you did in life. Believing helps, but it isn't compulsory.
Guys, just to let you know, I've split this off the election thread as it was off topic there.

If you don't mind me asking, but what is Islam's stance on original sin? Do Muslims believe in it? I never could find an answer on that.

We don't believe in original sin. The Qur'an teaches that every person is responsible for their own actions and it isn't fair to be punished for someone else's mistakes/sins.

I said this awhile back, but I think it worth repeating here. When you get down to it, Christianity, Islam and all other religions are all about whatever its followers make it about. For some people, it's love and peace. For some, it's control. For some, it's killing abortion doctors. For some, it's oppress homosexuals. For some, it's fly planes into buildings. Everyone sees something different.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Islam is starting to sound better than Christianity.
