Huh? What happened? Was Mr. Beck here cleared of his rape/murder charges? I didn't even know there was a trial. Oh, you mean his rally in Washington DC yesterday? From the looks of it, Beck's event yesterday should've been called Restoring Boredom

They also want America to return to something like from "Leave It To Beaver". That's the "good old days" they long for. Small problem: It never existed, it was a TV show. It's sort of a collective "memory" about how good they had when they were kids that probably has very little basis (if any) in fact.

It should also be pointed out that all of the fascist movements in Europe in the early 1920's and 30's started as grassroots opposition to the liberal democratic governments that existed in their respective countries (Spain, Italy, Germany, etc). Government was the enemy to the fascists, until they took over, then it became good. You can see that perfectly exemplified with any American Conservative's rants about government. Something is bad when Obama does it but perfectly fine when Bush did it.

Reading more about this rally and am just rolling my eyes at the things I see and read, like this t-shirt...

Are you kidding me? At times there are real worrying parallels with Middle East countries who rule with an iron fist because of extreme religious beliefs. Quite easily a large part of America Right are the poster child for a Christian version of Iran.

What amazes me is how many people can be fooled by people like Beck and Palin. P.T. Barnum was right: there's a sucker born every minute.

BTW, I wonder how many people who support Beck know that he's a Mormon? You know that 'un-Christian,' immoral, and outright blasphemous religion that believes that Jesus wasn't god and this guy named Joseph Smith carried the new message?

I bet not very many since he infrequently advertisers this.
