this is something i've wondered about since i first saw revenge of the sith. did the clones know of order 66 and palpatine's intentions against the jedi from the very start, from when they were being made, etc?

also when the jedi found out about palpatine being a sith, why didn't they inform the other jedis in the galaxy to watch their backs?
I've always wondered about this question too. I find it hard to believe that the Jedi wouldn't have at least some kind of passive knowledge of Order 66 (the number implies that wasn't the only order around).
You ask some pretty good questions.

The Clones know about Order 66 from the start, as it is one of the 150 contingency orders to deal with situations. There was even an order about taking control/removing Palpatine too (ironically it was Order 65).

It's hard to say if the Jedi knew but I'm gonna go with them not knowing. They probably wouldn't need to know the Orders anyway.

That I always wondered myself. Mace Windu might've known about the order and simply went to try to stop/kill Palpatine (since if I remember correctly Palpatine was the only person who could issue Order 66).

still, i think mace should've warned at least the other jedi council members. it would seem like common sense.

Actually Mace Windu did tell Yoda about Palpatine (the scene is in the novelization of the film).

From our perspective it's pretty damn obvious they should've use logic, and logic should have told them the clones would be a problem. But the Jedi were in darkness; they were blinded and couldn't feel the Force sufficiently to guide them.
i always wondered this myself. order 66 should've been prevented the moment anakin told mace that palpatine was sidious. palpatine was a sith lord and the sith wanted to destroy the jedi so what else was palpatine going to do with the jedi? palpatine had control of the clone armies.

But you have the advantage of hindsight. All of us fans knew that the Jedi would be destroyed, but how many of us can honestly say we figured out Order 66 before the film came out? Mace DID realize that Sidious wanted to destroy them, but he didn't know the scope and specifics of the plan. So it would've been reasonable for him to believe that if he stopped the Sith he would eliminate the danger.

And who says Sidious didn't have a contingency plan if the Jedi became suspicious of the clones?
