I received my enlistment notice for the Singapore Armed Forces a few weeks ago so that means once I report (in January) I pretty much won't be able to visit for the next two years.
However, if I get the time and chance, I'll be sure to check in every now and then. So good luck to all others here with whatever you plan to do.

I didn't know Singapore still had a draft. The US got rid of ours back in the 70s (though we still have to register for it, in case they bring it back).
Damn, that must suck, but good luck on whatever you do once your drafted.
ouch, drafted, guess there's no way out of it? i considered joining the army, but i didn't wanna get sent to iraq.

Nope, at least nothing legal. Plus I want to join, I've been preparing myself for it for over a year now.
Well, sorry to see you go. I hope you are prepared. I've personally considered joining the Army too, but the disciplined lifestyle just wasn't for me.
