Star Wars on Blu-ray
Looks like we'll finally see the Blu-ray releases of Star Wars probably tied to the beginning of the live action series.
I guess it was inevitable, now I should go buy a Blu-ray player.
I wonder what changes will be made to the movies this time around? Either way, I'll buy them.
Nice to hear that the complete six-movie set will have lots of extras and deleted footage, at least I hope.

He'll probably change the effects so they look better and maybe improve some of the duels (since they look so slow compared the the new movies). I heard they might add the Emperor in ANH somehow.
That'd be cool, but how would they stick the Emperor in A New Hope?
I heard it would be at the end of the film, Darth Vader would return to Coruscant and go to the place where Dooku met Sidious at the end of ATOC and inform the Emperor that there a new threat. This I heard would've been included in the DVD version, but it wasn't obviously.
Not sure if I'd like that scene, personally, I think it just works better if Vader is shown spinning off into space at the end on ANH. But that's just me.
The duels in the OT could stand to be improved, especially the Vader/Obi-Wan duel in ANH. I once saw a video on YouTube (can't find it now) in which someone recut that scene and it looked much better.
Cool, I got a Blu-Ray player and I look forward to when the movies are released on Blu-Ray. Let's hope they have lots of deleted scenes and other cool stuff.

Good news, especially the news that some of those old documentaries like From Star Wars to Jedi and The Making of Star Wars might be included. But it will still be a few years yet, why so long?
I've never heard of those two documentaries, are they good?
^Yeah, at least 'From Star Wars to Jedi'.
Back on the original topic, that's cool news. I just got a Blu-ray player for my birthday and I look forward to adding Star Wars to my Blu-ray collection.
